Blended Learning

Background
We are working with an associate organisation to introduce what's become known as'blended learning'. The idea of blended learning is to incorporate a number of different learning options (over & above a stand alone training course) to create a much longer term effect in which the trainee takes greater ownership over their own long term development.

So for instance, a presentation skills programme might involve various pre-work options (reading, case studies, pre-course teaching modules, on-line tutorial, learning goal setting...), then attendance on a training course, followed by various after course activities (such as further reading, group rehearsal, forums, on-line rehearsal and coaching, submittence of plans & visuals for critique...).

Advantages
The benefits are that: 1) your company can closely monitor the most effective learning patterns and results for individual trainees; 2) the trainee becomes much more involved in their own development choices and can concentrate more on the learning format that works best for them; 3) the training has long lasting effects because it is spread out over a longer period - it doesn't start & finish with a one off training course.

Mixing The Blend !
The blended learning mix can be created to include options that best suit your company objectives, trainees working schedules, and training budget requirements.

Oustside Consultant or In-House Option
All materials and on-line activities can carry our corporate ID and present an 'external consultancy' feel, or can be tailored to include your company's corporate ID and made to look like your own in-house creation.

To discuss ideas for a blended learning programme please feel free to contact us by telephone or email and we will be pleased to help.
